Indian steelmakers laud interim budget’s proposed spending hike
Indian steelmakers have welcomed the national interim budget’s continued focus on infrastructure spending and fiscal prudence.
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Thursday the interim Union budget for the financial year ending March 2025 (FY25), proposing a capital expenditure increase of 11.1% to INR 11.11 trillion ($133.89 billion), Kallanish notes.
