Indian steel demand, profitability to improve next year
Higher sales volume will help moderate leverage and improve profitability at Indian steelmakers in the fiscal year through March 2021 (FY21), according to Fitch Ratings. Ebitda and sales have been hampered in FY20 by weak domestic demand, with firms responding by pushing back capital expenditure.
