Indian scrap imports surge despite steel output drop
Indian imports of ferrous scrap under HS code 7204 surged 49% on-year in December 2018 to 602,557 tonnes, Kallanish learns from Indian commerce ministry data. Their average value was $523.6/tonne versus $507.7/t in December 2017.
