Indian scrap imports inch up in August
Indian scrap imports grew 35.86% on-year to 540,658 tonnes in August, against 397,943t a year earlier. Indian scrap imports in January-August thus surged 4.99% on-year to 3.67 million tonnes against 3.49mt last year, Kallanish notes from Indian commerce ministry provisional data.
