Indian scrap imports fall as UK supply retreats
Indian scrap imports fell again in March, by 7% on-year to 405,066 tonnes, Kallanish notes from Indian commerce ministry provisional data. They were also down 13% from February.
Top two suppliers United Arab Emirates and Singapore actually increased supply by 37% and 21% respectively to 99,951t and 35,138t. However, the US and UK provided 7% and 57% less respectively at 34,953t and 20,679t. Moreover, South Africa and Brazil saw supply plummet 91% and 89% respectiv…
