Indian scrap imports decline again
Indian imports of ferrous scrap under HS code 7204 declined for a third consecutive month in November, by -20% on-year to 496,832 tonnes, Kallanish learns from Indian commerce ministry data. The declining trend follows multiple months of increases. The average value of imported obsolete scrap under HS code 720449 was $302/tonne versus $370/t in November 2018.
