Indian nine-month auto output slumps
Indian automotive production slumped -13% on-year in April-December 2019 to 20.74 million vehicles, according to a Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) note seen by Kallanish.
Domestic passenger car sales fell -16.4% in the period, but passenger car exports rose 5.9%. As commercial and three-wheeler exports declined, however, overall Indian automotive exports grew only 3.9%.
