Indian law amendment eyes iron ore mining ramp-up
The Indian mines ministry is proposing to amend the MMDR Act to ensure iron ore mine lessees’ dispatch a minimum agreed tonnage. This comes amid iron ore shortages in India caused by the slow ramping up of recently-auctioned mines in Odisha.
