Indian HRC exports slump for second consecutive month
Indian hot rolled flat products exports fell for a second consecutive month in March, by -23% on-year to 374,378 tonnes, according to Indian commerce ministry provisional data seen by Kallanish. Shipments fell again to major markets Vietnam and Italy.
The most-exported product was HR unpickled wide strip below 3mm thick under HS code 720839 whose shipments reached 211,953t. Their average value was $465/tonne versus $499/t in March 2019.
