Indian HRC export growth slows, China takes lead
Indian hot rolled flat products exports grew 24% on-year in August to 817,140 tonnes, slowing from much more rapid growth in previous months, according to Indian commerce ministry provisional data seen by Kallanish.
China overtook Vietnam as the top market, taking in 405,335t versus zero a year earlier. Shipments to Vietnam declined -34% to 168,933t, their first drop in multiple months.
