Indian HRC demand remains sluggish from Europe
Indian hot rolled and cold rolled coil suppliers have reiterated that over-utilised EU quotas and lack of interest from European buyers continue to drag on export activity, Kallanish notes.
Traders also note enquiries will re-open in a day or so as the market resumes activity properly post the Lunar New Year holiday. Similarly, Indian domestic demand remains stable to sluggish this week, as India prepares for the general election campaign.
