Indian HR flats exports slump despite March surge
Indian hot rolled flat products exports surged 74.7% on-year in March to 487,816 tonnes, according to Indian commerce ministry data seen by Kallanish. Their average price was $508/tonne versus $587/t in March 2018.
Supply to Italy surged 42% to 194,790t, while exports to Vietnam soared over five-fold to 144,924t and shipments to United Arab Emirates almost quadrupled to 80,315t. Shipments to Spain, however, declined -83% to 7,273t and intake by Turkey …
