Indian demand to jump back over 100mt
Indian steel demand will reclaim the 100 million tonnes mark this year after recovering from the severe second Covid-19 wave that hit in the second quarter, says worldsteel. Although this wave disrupted output across all sectors, putting a break on post-Covid-19 recovery, its economic impact was much smaller than the first wave due to more localised lockdowns.
