Indian consumption, imports slow in November
Indian apparent finished steel consumption growth slowed considerably in November, but so did imports.
According to an Indian Joint Plant Committee (JPC) report seen by Kallanish, apparent consumption grew only 1.9% on-year last month to 6.41 million tonnes. Finished steel imports grew 2.5% to 614,000t – that was nevertheless the seventh consecutive month of year-on-year growth.
