Indian billet exports slump despite surge to Italy
Indian semi-finished product exports, the majority of which were billet, fell -35.6% on-year in March to 179,418 tonnes, according to Indian commerce ministry data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $464/tonne versus $500/t in March 2018.
