Indian automotive production, deliveries increase on demand uptick
Indian automotive output increased 2% on-year to 1,904,364 units in January, against 1,860,809 units produced in the same period a year earlier, reports the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
On-month, output grew by 22% against 1,557,238 units produced in December. Output includes passenger vehicles (PV), commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers and quadricycles.
