Indian automotive output slumps again in January
Indian automotive production declined -11% on-year in January to 2.15 million vehicles, according to a Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) note seen by Kallanish.
Passenger vehicle sales fell -6% to 262,714 units.
In the ten months through January Indian automotive output thus slumped -13% on-year to 22.89m units, maintaining the same declining rate as after nine months. Passenger vehicle sales dropped -15% to 2.38m units.
