Indian automotive output decline continues
Indian automotive production fell -11% in April-July, the first four months of India’s fiscal year, to 9.7 million units, Kallanish learns from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
This came as passenger vehicle sales fell -22% in the period, while commercial vehicle sales dropped -14%. Three-wheeler sales declined -7%.
Four-month automotive exports, meanwhile, grew 1%, driven by passenger vehicles and two wheelers.
