Indian August exports, consumption rise, but imports surge
Indian finished steel exports surged 35.9% on-year in August to 923,000 tonnes, their highest monthly total so far in the fiscal year beginning 1 April, according to an Indian Joint Plant Committee (JPC) report seen by Kallanish. Domestic consumption grew 4.6% to 7.42 million tonnes.
