India looks at acquiring South African coking coal resources
India is in talks to buy coking coal mines in South Africa in order to secure supply for its expanding steel industry, Indian Coal Secretary Anil Swarup tells Reuters. The Asian giant also hopes to stop thermal coal imports in three years thanks to increased domestic output.
