India sees rise in June coking coal production
Indian coking coal production surged 51.71% on-year to 4.04 million tonnes in June against 2.66mt produced a year earlier. Output in April-June also grew 28.38% to 11.50mt against 8.96mt for last year, Kallanish notes.
Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) was the largest producer of coking coal last month, producing 2.65mt during the period. Other major producers included CCL (1.36mt), SECL (0.02mt) and WCL (0.01mt).
