India reports rise in April coking coal production
Indian coking coal production grew 18.07% on-year to 4.89 million tonnes in April, against 4.14mt produced a year earlier, India’s coal ministry informs.
Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) was the largest coking coal producer in April, producing 3.05mt during the period, reporting a 26.82% on-year growth against 2.4mt produced last year. Other producers included CCL (1.32mt), SECL (0.02mt), and WCL (0.01mt), Kallanish notes.
