India proposes retaliatory tariffs on some US steel

India has proposed the imposition of duties on US-origin imports worth approximately $1.4 billion in 2017, according to an Indian WTO delegation notice seen by Kallanish. This is in retaliation to the levying by the US of 25% and 10% tariffs on steel and aluminium imports respectively.
