India-origin supply helps boost Turkish iron ore imports
Turkish iron ore imports surged 40% on-year in March to 1.56 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value rose to $100/tonne from $96/t in March 2018.
Brazil-origin supply soared 136% to 661,738t, while intake from Sweden surged 127% to 375,109t. South Africa supplied 172,362t, up 6%, but imports from Canada fell -1% to 166,740t.
