India launches first ‘green’ steel brand
India-based Kalyani Group has launched the nation’s first “green” steel brand – “Kalyani Ferresta” – produced using renewable energy resources, leaving zero carbon footprint in the environment, the company informs in a media release.
According to the company, Kalyani Ferresta has a very low GHG emission intensity of <0.19 tonne CO2/t of crude steel or <0.35t CO2/t of rolled steel.
