India industry body seeks excise duty tax cut to boost steel
The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (Assocham) has called for a cut in excise duty to take India’s steel industry “…out of stress”.
“The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) did show a great courage and slashed the policy interest rates which, however, did not get transmitted to the borrowers on earlier occasions,” Assocham says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
