India identifies new coking coal blocks
The Indian coal ministry has identified four coking coal blocks to increase coking coal production, according to a ministry note seen by Kallanish.
Furthermore, the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) will also finalise the geological report (GR) for another four to six new coking coal blocks in the coming months. These blocks may be offered to the private sector in subsequent rounds of the auction to increase domestic raw coking coal supplies.
