India HRC mills maintain export focus
Indian hot and cold rolled coil producers are prioritising exports over the domestic market due to local prices bottoming out and mills seeking to book at higher prices with European buyers, sources tell Kallanish.
A trader says: "Prices are higher owing to multiple factors such as rising freight rates, rise in raw material prices and supply constraints in the EU." This allows Indian mills to secure higher prices, he adds.
