India extends import registration requirement to all steel
India has extended to imports of all steel products under HS codes 72 and 73 the requirement to be registered under the Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS). This becomes effective from 16 October.
Since 1 November 2019, 271 products under HS codes 72 and 73 have been required to register for import certification under SIMS, Kallanish notes.
