India exempts input imports from quality control order
India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has exempted from quality control orders (QCO) imports by certain ministries and entities of input products, including steel, that are used to produce products for export.
The exemption is applicable to advance authorisation holders, export oriented units (EOU) and special economic zones (SEZ) units, notes Kallanish.
