India continues preference for scrap over ore imports
Indian imports of ferrous scrap under HS code 7204 surged 44% on-year in April to 719,084 tonnes, Kallanish learns from Indian commerce ministry data. Their average value was $501/tonne versus $545/t in April 2018.
