Higher Turkish merchant bar export quotes face resistance
Turkish merchant bar producers have increased export quotes by $10/tonne. The move is however seen to be facing resistance from global buyers.
On Friday, Turkish producers’ quotes stood mostly at $670-690/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $680-700/t for IPN-UPN sections, $690-710/t for flat bars, and $680-700/t for IPE sections. However, lower prices were also available from some producers.
