Increased Turkish demand lifts Polish scrap exports
Polish scrap exports surged 45% on-year in August to 146,833 tonnes, according to data from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) monitored by Kallanish.
The most-exported product was obsolete scrap whose exports surged 69% to 85,012t. Their average value was PLN 1,193/tonne ($313.5) versus PLN 1,063/t in August 2017.
