Increased EAF competitiveness, anti-dumping duties boost Cognor profitability
Lower production costs for electric arc furnace steelmakers versus their blast furnace-based rivals helped boost Cognor’s first-quarter revenue by 21% on-year to PLN 429.53 million ($113.3m). The firm also turned to a net profit of PLN 30.3m versus a loss of PLN 6.5 in Q1 2016.
