Imported scrap prices plummet in Turkey
Turkish mills which had begun this week quietly concluded two ex-UK scrap deals yesterday at significantly lower prices than in previous transactions, Kallanish learns.
Both cargoes, consisting of 20,000 tonnes of HMS I/II 80:20, were sold at $228/tonne cfr to two Turkish mills in the Iskenderun region.
