Imports rise in US during May
US steel finished steel imports appear to have risen in May, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US total imports reached 2.513 million short tons in May, 1.845m st of which were finished, the institute gleans from preliminary Census Bureau data.
That’s down 4.8% and up 11.3%, respectively, from April’s final figures.
