Imports, lower demand hamper Stalprofil, pipeline sales grow
Stalprofil posted an -18% on-year drop in shipments in the first half of 2019 to 89,000 tonnes due to worsening market conditions on account of reduced EU steel demand and the steel price downtrend. Increased competition from imports also hampered performance, the Polish distributor and processor says in a report seen by Kallanish.
