European stainless coil prices rise on imports' fall
Spot prices for European stainless steel flat products are finally increasing by €100/tonne ($116.2/t) on average, Kallanish hears from European market sources.
This is due to rising alloy surcharges and a fall in coil import volumes from third countries as an effect of the EU safeguard measures. In July buyers have not purchased on the import market, sources say.
