Imports bite into Nucor's Q2 profits
US steel producer Nucor’s profits slipped slightly from the first quarter to the second, though they remain well over Q2 2016, Kallanish learns from the company’s quarterly earnings review.
Nucor posted a net profit of $323 million on sales of $5.17 billion, down from earnings of $356.9m on sales of $4.82 billion but up from earnings of $243.6m on sales of $4.25 billion in Q2 2016.
