Imported scrap prices continue decreasing in Turkey
Turkish mills’ demand for imported scrap remains weak, but they have concluded some short-sea cargoes at lower prices this week.
Short-sea scrap prices, which stood at $265/tonne cfr last week, have decreased sharply below $260/t cfr this week. Short-sea suppliers, except Russia, which had to accept Turkish mills’ bids, have sold HMS 1/2 80:20 at $255-260/t cfr Turkey this week.
