Ex-US cargo confirms Turkish scrap rebound
Showing signs of a rebound since last week, imported scrap prices have increased in the latest US-origin scrap deal into Turkey, Kallanish notes.
The Ex-US HMS I/II 80:20 price, which stood at $226/tonne cfr in last week’s deals, has risen to $233/t cfr Turkey in this week’s booking. One Turkish mill bought 23,000 tonnes of HMS I/II 80:20 at $233/t and 17,000t of shredded at $238/t.
