IHI to produce hydrogen using iron ore as catalyst
Japan's IHI Corporation installed a prototype hydrogen manufacturing device in December 2023 which utilizes natural gas pyrolysis at the Yokohama Works. This is a technology that heats natural gas and breaks it down into hydrogen and solid carbon.
