Germany's IG Metall union achieves 3.7% wage hike
Employers and trade union IG Metall have reached an agreement to increase wages 3.7% during the latest wage bargaining talks for northwest Germany’s steel industry. IG Metall hailed the result as a success and vindication of the pressure imposed by workers in token strikes in recent weeks. Employers’ representatives also expressed satisfaction over the outcome.
