IDC sinks to deep third-quarter loss
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) increased revenue 82% on-year in the third quarter to TRY 1.35 billion ($246.99 million). However, due to a higher cost of sales and other operating expenses, the firm turned to a net loss of TRY 446.07m versus a profit a year earlier of TRY 14.4m.
In the nine months through September IDC’s revenue thus rose 58% on-year to TRY 3.42 billion but the steelmaker turned to a net loss of TRY 641m versus a profit the year before of TRY 59.…
