Brazil mining institute slams Vale foreign court action
The Brazilian Mining Institute (Ibram) is concerned about the group proceedings in the UK and the Netherlands over the collapse of Samarco's Fundão dam in 2015. The institute considers that both Vale, owner of 50% of the pellet producer, and Samarco itself have suffered an "unprecedented attack" that impacts the mining sector and entire Brazilian industry.
