Hyundai Steel restarts Pohang plant
South Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel has restarted operations at its Pohang plant after completing an overhaul, Kallanish notes.
The plant was hit by typhoons and floods in early September, and equipment was subsequently suspended since 7 September. The production of long steel products and section steel resumed on 6 October when maintenance was completed.
