Hyundai accepts PSM mill for special steel plant
Korea’s Hyundai Steel has formally accepted a 3-roll precision sizing mill (PSM) from SMS Group. The mill was commissioned earlier this year as the steelmaker started up its first special steel longs plant, Kallanish notes.
The mill is producing SBQ grade bars 25-83mm in diameter. The mill will mainly supply the automotive sector, including Hyundai Steel’s sister companies Hyundai Motor and Kia Motor.
