Hubei Jinda plans EAF construction
Hubei Xiaogan Jinda Steel will start construction of an electric arc furnace in June 2022, according to the Hubei Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology.
The construction plans include a 50-tonne electric arc furnace, a 50t ladle furnace and a 50t VD furnace, with 360,000 tonnes/year of steel capacity, Kallanish notes. Jinda Steel looks to commission the project in June 2024.
