Huaigang, Hangang refurbish hot-ends
Huaigang Special Steel under Shagang Group has started to refurbish its No.3 450-cubic metre blast furnace. Hanzhong Iron & Steel under Shaanxi Iron & Steel has meanwhile completed refurbishment of one 120-tonne converter, Kallanish notes.
Huaigang plans to complete its refurbishment in 35 days for the 450 m3 BF, which was commissioned at the end of 2010. It estimated a total of 53,500 tonnes of pig iron output will be reduced during the refurbishment. Han…
