HRC prices drift in quiet US market
Hot rolled coil prices in the US continue to drift lower, with cold rolled and coated prices faring better as the market enters the typically-slower end-of-year holiday season.
With HRC lead times now into January, mill order activity picked up somewhat last week. However, transactions are expected to be fewer this week and next due to upcoming holidays. Lead times for cold rolled and coated products are out into February.
